Make & Takes

Fiber related activities geared for the younger fiber artist will be available as part of the Market Place, located at the Huntingdon County Fairgrounds in Johnson Hall and will be open ONE DAY ONLY on Saturday, September 15 from 9 am to 4 pm.

Make & Takes are guided activities with instruction Children must be accompanied by responsible teen or adult. All Make & Takes will be available throughout the day.

Tassel Making

Make floss, fabric, ribbon or yarn tassels to use as a necklace, decoration or ornament.

Fabric covered pins

Make your own pins with fabric covered geometric shapes, felt backing and pin clasp.

Pompom Scrubby

Use basic pompom making techniques to make your own bath scrubby or bubble sponge.

Twisted cord tassel or pompom holder

Create twisted cords to use as a key chain, bracelet, scrubby holder or necklace.

Stitch an Hour Knitting Project

Learn and practice new stitch patterns every hour. We will be working collectively, throughout the day, to knit scarves that will be donated to local folks in need. Come spend some time and work on one of the scarves in progress, or bring a hand knit, crocheted, or woven scarf to contribute to the donations bin.
