Bonna Kirkpatrick has been quilting 38 years with applique being her specialty. She teaches quilting classes at Country Beefers Quilt Shop in Roaring Spring, working mostly with beginning quilters. She also works with John and Minerva Zimmerman at Zimmerman’s Bernina shop in New Enterprise Pennsylvania, teaching the computer side of sewing. She finds great joy in teaching and seeing the progress of each student.

She has judged quilt shows in the area, and was Past President of Calico Quilters of Blair County and Past President of Altoona Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America.

Course Description:

Let master quilter Bonna Kirkpatrick demystify the art of appliqué for you!

Bonna will be teaching her technique of spray starch appliqué to create bias strips and shapes. She will also teach the art of ribbon ruching to make flower shapes. In addition, she will teach basic fabric folder.

You can put all these elements together in a charming still life
