Hannah Bellwoar took up knitting in 2002 when she entered graduate school as a way to de-stress. In 2008, she learned to knit socks and was instantly hooked. She’s been knitting non-stop ever since.

In June 2012, she turned her blog into a video podcast called the Traveling Sock Knitter where she talks about all aspects of knitting socks as well as whatever else she has on the needles, and she periodically reviews books and board games, which are her other passions.

Course Description:

Learn all the basic elements to knit a toe up, heel flap sock using the magic loop technique on a 32” circular needle. Hannah will teach Judy’s magic cast on and Turkish cast on, knitting in the round on magic loop, creating the gusset, turning the heel, knitting a heel flap, and Jenny’s surprisingly stretchy bind off. Hannah will provide a pattern and demonstrate all these techniques on a toddler sock so students can practice in class. She will also provide instruction and a pattern for adult socks, which can be knit after class.
