Anne is a retired Family and Consumer Science teacher who taught thirty-six years at Mifflinburg High School. She has been teaching an adult quilting class for ten years. Recently she attended a Quilt in a Day Teacher Training in Paducah, Kentucky, taught by Eleanor Burns and is now a certified Quilt in a Day teacher.

For the Basic Level

Course Description:

Bag One measures approximately 17 in. tall x 15 in. tall x 8 in. deep and is made from 1 yard of fabric. It has one pocket on the front outside. Extra pockets can be included.

Bag Two measures approximately 14 in. tall x 18 in. wide and 10 in. deep. It is made from a charm pack or forth-eight 5 in. squares; It is lined and has two inside pockets; (1 ½ yards of lining) and handles are 6 ½ in. x 44 in. Handles can be made from lining or matching fabric of the squares. 2 ¾ yards of stabilizer or light fusible batting gives the bag shape. It could hold a 9 in x 13 in casserole. Extra pockets can be included.

Course Cost:

$60 class fee + $53 materials fee (or student supplies fabrics).

$8 for Bag One: Students may supply one yard woven fabric.

$45 for Bag Two: Students may supply a charm pack, 1 ½ yards of lining and 2 ¾ yards of stabilizer or light fusible batting.
